The Vectis Gliding Club offers trial instructional flights to people of all ages who are interested in experiencing the joys of silent flight. We fly on the Isle of Wight from Bembridge Airport every weekend and bank holidays.
This is the perfect venture for anyone who has an interest in aviation, or simply enjoys taking part in adrenaline-filled activities. If you're not an experienced pilot, then this is a great opportunity to experience what it is like to be on a silent flight. If you enjoy your instructional lesson, then you may even want to learn to fly yourself
From March to October we also fly on Wednesdays
People under 18 years of age will require written consent of a parent or guardian.
If you are less than 7 stone (45kg) or more than 16 stone 4lb (103.5 kg approx.), you may not be able to fly. Also very tall people, more than 6ft 4ins, may have difficulty fitting into the cockpit.
Bookings are not all ways possible, unfortunately we can not book the weather.
